The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has announced it will display the preliminary voters’ register at registration centres next week. A statement from the commission’s headquarters said the document will be on display for seven days and the move is to enable the public scrutinize the register before the printing of Permanent Voters’ Cards, PVCs. The notice said the preliminary register “will contain the names of those who registered newly or transferred their votes to new areas” since the Continuous Voter Registration, CVR, exercise, began on April 27 at local council offices, nationwide. Meanwhile, INEC, on Thursday said it has informed Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye about the process of his recall. The electoral body disclosed that the decision to notify the Senator of the demand of his people was taken at its meeting held in Abuja.
