The Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation says it has started delivering on its seven critical gas projects to support power generation with 15 Gigawatts. NNPC spokesman, Ndu Ughamadu, explained that to achieve the target, the corporation would deliver about 3.4-billion standard cubic feet of gas per day to bridge the supply gap by 2020.
Also, NNPC Group Managing Director, Maikanti Baru, said the projects would also signal the beginning of the process of closing the demand-supply gap in the domestic gas market…adding that the NNPC has signed Utilisation and Units Operating Agreements with seven oil and gas companies to bridge the shortfall.
