Alicia Keys Signs Exclusive Deal With Universal Music Publishing Group

Universal Music Publishing Group has signed Alicia Keys to an exclusive administration deal, covering the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and producer’s iconic catalog of both existing and future works.
That includes hits like “No One,” “Fallin,” “My Boo,” “Empire State of Mind” and “Like You’ll Never See Me Again,” stretching back to Keys’ 2001 debut album Songs In A Minor.
The deal marks a reunion for Keys and UMPG chairman/CEO Jody Gerson, who signed Keys to her first music publishing deal at EMI Music Publishing when the artist was just 14 years old. Keys subsequently worked with Sony/ATV Music Publishing, where Gerson formerly served as co-president, after it acquired EMI in 2018.
Alicia Keys, now 38, has won 15 Grammy Awards over her career, notching four No. 1 debuts on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Outside of her musical work, she’s also an author, film/television and Broadway producer, philanthropist and activist.
