Historic J. Randle Centre to Host Inaugural Rush Festival

Written by on December 16, 2025

In a celebration of modern African heritage, the J. Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History in Onikan will host the maiden edition of the Rush Festival on December 18. The festival aims to bridge the gap between traditional culture and contemporary expression, targeting young culture consumers and the diaspora community.

Breaking away from the standard concert format, Rush Festival is billed as an “experience-driven” event. The lineup features alternative stars and DJs including Aniko, the dynamic duo Handi x Wanni, DJ Yosa, and DJ Latitude. Beyond the music, attendees will be treated to a curated mix of underground film screenings, art installations, and even live boxing matches, positioning the festival as a hub for the intellectual and creative pulse of Lagos.
